Here's the Twiglets expression of glee on opening her first present on Christmas day. It's a fairy castle. Just what she asked Santa for - how did that Dude know?
This is Twiglet modelling her first prom dress, despite it being from Asda via ebay and inspired by HSM I think you'll agree she looks glam beyond her four years.
Here is the Twig's first go at being a GP. She had to fix our blood, it's all a bit wonky apparently. Do all doctors make this face?

This is the first time Twiglet staged her own adaptation of the nativity. It was refined over several performances. It involved tying a towel on her head with the aid of the belt from her Uncles bathrobe thingy, a fluffy dog called Rufus, Uncle Graham as the 'Uncle guy Joseph', and an angel that played jingle bells when squeezed tightly enough as baby Jesus. Jesus is also a girl. So there.
These are Twiglets first 'docs'. (How hard I had to fight my mother for a pair of docs and how I loved them when I got them - weren't the 80's grand?). They are pink and they have small penguins on them. I am jealous. Her Dad has taught her to sing 'Dr Martin, Dr Martin, Dr Martin boots' by Alexi Sayle from the Young Ones. God Bless Youtube.

And this is the first picture of the new year, on the beach, before we went to the first movie of the year (Bedtime Stories - spiffingly good) where daughter and I had our first fight of the year (it's just not OK to open the loo door until your mother is properly attired when you've been sharing a cubicle - too much info???) before retiring home to flop on to sofa to write first post of the year. Phew.

First to comment on your first post...sounds like an excellent Christmas and that next year, we'll include a nativity in our before Christmas playdate. (PS who hasn't been caught out when sharing a cubicle with a toddler in a public place, that's what I'd like to know!)
Most excellent Doc Martins, it is true you never forget your first pair and mine were black oh how I wished they had been pink with penguins on them!
So pleased with all the excellent content in this post. I am particularly enamored of the pink penguiny docs, and hope that a pairing of them with the prom dress is in the offing.
(word verification: acyclogy. Perhaps this is what's gone wrong with your blood? or the study thereof?)
