There are a number of reasons why everyone should give serious consideration to having an Ian. First off, they are for life not just for Christmas, they make a mean cup of tea, and they do it on demand (not always with a happy heart but the request is never, ever refused). In this inclement weather an Ian is exceptionally useful, you can send them out to the shop in the snow for some butter so that Twiglet and I can make shortbread (yeah we baked today - no kidding), an Ian will check your wellies that have been living in the shed for the last few month to make sure that there are no spiders in them - dead or alive, and best of all an Ian will do this with the Twiglet so you don't have to.
