Today the twiglet and I had a bit of a girly day. Bloke got left to do exciting stuff like take the car to the garage. Don't say we don't know how to show a guy a good time in this house. So twig and I got the train into the big smoke to do some shopping. We needed to get a pressie for her friend who will hit the big 5 tomorrow. A handbag in the shape of a cupcake was purchased. I have decided my dream job would be personal shopper for pre-school girls. Then we needed cake. It still amazes me how much chocolate twig can get on her face while consuming cake. It's a skill

When we got home twig decided she needed a manicure for the party. I got a pedicure. Nice.

Once her nails were dry she decided the box in which I keep all things nailish was just horribly untidy and her OCD tendancies kicked in. So she tidied the stuff up. All the nailpolish in tidy rows. Sometimes she makes me just so proud.

That sounds like an AWESOME job and you are right, you would totally rock at it.
Can I be your apprentice?
This day sounds splendid. I am constantly amazed at all the rather thrilling things available for little girls that were not around when my daughters were tiny (let alone when I myself was small, yea eons ago). Enjoy buying those cupcake-shaped purses while you can. Also, while you're at it, eat all the cake there is to eat. Why not.
