OK folks listen up. It's freezing and snowy and ever so slightly slippery underfoot. The wind makes your brain freeze as evidenced by the fact that the Twiglet has actually acquiesced and stuck a hat on her noggin, without complaint no less. But there's only so much time you can spend in doors without it becoming a serious challenge to your sanity. (This happens quite quickly if you're me - my cabin fever becomes acute should I not face the world on a daily basis).

However, an hour and the half in the woods in the perishing cold tires a girl, sometimes you just need to have a rest and poke things with a stick. The memory of Bloke skitting on his butt did cheer us all on (apart perhaps from the bloke, if only I'd got that one on camera).

So you can go now winter. We've sated our need to sledge, we've built igloos, snowmen and other artistic winter sculptures, snowball fights have been had and to top it all I skidded off the road on Friday after the School run. Bring on spring.

I like to hold out my longing for spring as long as possible--you know, doing my bit to halt global warming--but I admit, it's all pretty dreary right now. I wouldn't mind if it would actually snow, but here we get socked in with smog, a horrible inversion. It's Dickensian, this wintry air. Bleah.

I am sick of snow. Unless it means school is cancelled then I am a fan because I could stay inside today, I really could. (Whenever there is a slippery moment, I tell Miriam we should send it in to you've been framed. There's a quick buck I'll tell you!
